Digging a hole in the sun
The piles of fill are ranges of fire
The deeper you go, the brighter the flames
And the walls keep rising higher

I will mine to the core
I’ll dig until I get there
To see what underlies it all
And then I’ll come up for air

I’m burning for knowledge
Consumed by information lust
Running as hard as I can
From knowing that fire is fast rust

Oxidization comes when matter burns
Or rusts or scales or stains
I can live for a moment in the fire
Or forever in the rain

Digging a hole in the sun
The piles of fill are ranges of fire
The deeper you go, the brighter the flames
And the walls keep rising higher
